Our Pricing Structure
Well let's do our best to keep it simple here - there are a few different aspects to having a website so let's break it down and try not to get too 'techie'
How much is a domain name?
We will set up your own account for you so that you can own your own domain so you're in charge. This way there's no hassle - it's yours and you can decide how long you want to keep it. For example we purchased our domain : focus-websites.co.uk - here's the costs :

.co.uk / .org.uk 99p + VAT for the first year and then £3.49 per year thereafter

.com 99p + VAT for the first year and then £10.99 per year thereafter
(just to mention here - the prices have been at that rate for ages but do bear in mind things can change)
We can even get hold of a domain name that fits exactly what you do - say you are a photographer, your domain name could be :

janesmith.photography (now that's easy to remember) at £9.99 + vat for the first year and £19.99 per year thereafter
Of course that one's a bit more expensive but if your ideal .co.uk address has already gone well ... it's just a thought! We'll check out the price of one of those for you at the time if that's what you want.
How much is a new email address?
So you have decided that jane@hotmail.com doesn't look quite right when it comes to your business. Now you have a new account for your domain let's just add an email box to it. It comes with 5 email addresses and you'll get 2gb of storage - that should be plenty.

A box costs £12 + vat for the first year and £18 + vat per year thereafter.
For example : with 5 different email addresses available in just 1 box you can have :-
Once again we'll set all this up for you so it's nice and easy. All you need to do is to tell us the names you want and we'll do the rest.
How much is website hosting?
When it comes to hosting you could have this completely free of charge BUT it does mean that your site would have some advertising on it. Ideally it is much better to upgrade slightly to a premium site which will be without adverts and you'll get some extra bonuses too. To upgrade the costs are :

For a standard website the cost is just under £62 per year or you can even pay monthly at £6.84 per month

For an ecommerce website the cost is just under £122 per year or you can pay monthly for that too at £12.44 per month
Design & Production Costs
Depending upon how many pages you need, our costs are as follows :

1 page = £180

Account set up and on-going maintenance
To make things as easy as possible for you we will set up all your accounts for your domain name and email addresses. This does take up some of our time and so there is a one off charge of just £27 but once that is done it is all yours.
If you want to make any changes to your website throughout the year then you have a few choices, we can either:

Give you a one hour training session on how to update your website yourself at a cost of £27 so you can save yourself future costs ... or

If you have a standard website we will update your site for you at a cost of £5 per change

If you have an ecommerce site we will update your products at a cost of £2 each (one new pic / one new price)
The small print
All payments are made in advance to our account by bankers draft or BACS transfer.
Focus Websites are created within 5 working days subject to copy and pictures being in hand and unless there are any major unforseen circumstances, in which case, Focus will keep you informed regularly as to the progress of your site. Focus will not be held responsible for late production in the event that the client does not respond to amendment changes or supply text and pictures promptly. Any pictures supplied to Focus must be in .jpeg or .gif format. Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your website.
Focus will not be responsible for marketing your website. We will carry out basic Search Engine Optimisation requirements but we do not currently undertake website advertising campaigns. Focus will automatically submit the website to Google so that the domain will be recognised by Google and other search engines. Keywords for each page together with the copy (text) for each page and any bespoke pictures required must be submitted to Focus before commencement. If you do not have your own pictures we will endeavour to source appropriate ones for you. If suitable free of charge pictures are not acceptable then a small additional charge may be required for purchase. We reserve the right to make this selection based on availability and suitability and you will always be party to this process.
